Herring
The Anthonisen Brand of herring dates back over a 100 years. At that time virtually all herring was salted, but today's market also includes frozen herring. The fat content of the fish varies considerably between the Spring and the Autumn season, being leaner in the Spring Herringand fatter in the Autumn, when it is rich in Omega 3 fatty acids favourable for good health. Herring can be prepared in many different fashions - fresh, smoked and salted. The herring stocks were at an all-time low in the 1970's, but are now on the way up again, and the demand for herring is increasing.
Mackerel

Mackerel fished in the North Sea and the Norwegian Sea is of excellent quality. Anthonisen Seafood can supply round frozen mackerel and mackerel Mackerelfillets. The nutritional content of the mackerel varies during the course of the year, and the fat percentage is 20- 30% in the Autumn and considerably lower in the Spring. Europe is still the major market, but Japan and Taiwan are rapidly expanding.

Anthonisen Seafood sells frozen trout, but can also supply fillets on request. Farmed fish can be supplied all the year round, and the quality is good enough and even regardless of season. Both salmon and trout are nutritional being rich in Omega 3 fatty acids.
